I think the reason BAP was okay with people not understanding the point of the book was because it weeds those people out and draws in people more familiar with rw nature. I’m not a big fan of his but I’m certain BAP wasn’t trying to cater to a massive demographic
I had the same attitude with books until I exhausted dan carlin's work and began listening to history audiobooks. I don't regret listening to any that had a halfway decent narrator.
I've read most of them and agree with the positive assessments with the strong exception of Brave New World. Wearisome traditionalist obscurantist imagining a dumb illogical world in which advanced eugenics is used to reproduce cognitive castes, barely disguised moral lectures from a moral bankrupt who opposes artificial wombs and sexual liberation, and all without a tenth of George Orwell's writing talent. Deeply despised that moralfag even reading him in my teens before becoming transhumanismpilled.
You seem to have gotten something severely backwards. Brave New World's worldview is nearly Nietzschean in its rejection of comfort and morality in favor of life affirmation and conflict/evolution. It's the most beautiful and effective attack on the root of the modern world's problems every made.

I absolutely love that you chose the 11 books you love most in this world to recommend and they are each lukewarm recommendations at best
You should make a post on climate change
What do you think about this post that I wrote?: https://zerocontradictions.net/civilization/climate-change
Scanned through and it seems pretty good! I’ll maybe give it a full read tomorrow but I’m sleepy
atlas shrugged? instantly disregarded list
Out of curiosity, why is your side publication no longer available?

It's the blatherings of a rightoid.
What about gregory clarck?, a farewell to alms and the son also rises?
