Couldn't you estimate the genetic correlation between social status and criminality with a dataset like the NLSY with kinship information.

Is Pinker inclined to comment upon your analysis? Also, it would seem that the missing piece is an alternative/additional explanation for the decline. I’m not versed enough in the history to offer any, but without such it seems hard to shake off Pinker’s conclusions in the public perception. Maths is so boring. :-)
