You could fix this by making it nontransferrable. The child gets taxed automatically and some of that money (perhaps the majority) goes to pay back a loan that the parent took out to pay for child-related costs. No choices are involved other than the choice to take the loan out.

But a more serious problem with this is that once every parent gets more money, the price of everything needed for child-raising just goes up because our economy is gummed up with red tape and has extremely low supply elasticity for things like childcare and housing.

Seems brown coded. Elite Human Capital usually has good relationships with family. Why not just directly ask for money from your progeny?

you still need the money in advance, so you need a loan.

This does not necessitate debt incurred by the children. Only accurate predictions of future earning ability is required. This can be easily done by profiling parents. We would need this anyways since giving out loans without profiling is dysgenic. If your kids won’t support you when you grow old, you’re probably low human capital.

yes. You could do it like that. But still, child-raising is an upfront investment so one needs a loan. Especially to raise the optimal number of children, which may be large (10 for example).

Everyone has become various shades of a big government leftist these days especially when it comes to fertility. I have said this before and I'll say it again, "if you want more kids HAVE MORE KIDS." Next thing you know people will suggest having a public agency to come to your house and fuck your wife for you.

This is dysgenic. The highest performing groups already have enough money for children. Our top priority should be to reduce female schooling (and schooling in general). This proposal also might reduce the incentive for future generations to work. We already have a pyramid scheme to benefit our relatively wealthy elderly.

Female schooling is a status symbol these days, having a doctor or phd daughter is more important for rich and efucated families compare to gave grandchildren
