Re the plagiarism accusation, I never saw your 2022 article. I first noticed a negative relationship between WORDSUM and race realism in the GSS in 2013, and I have documents to prove it. Pretty sure I've mentioned this finding publicly pre-2022. But I won't accuse you of plagiarizing me.
"And of course, the analysis is wrong" - I restricted the years to the last couple decades because I wanted a large sample but I didn't want out-of-date data. You could have asked me about this before declaring that I'm wrong.
Your old blog is very obscure. Not likely many people read that despite a few enthusiasts like myself who had it in the feed reader. These kinds of things are usually due to convergent thinking/multiple discovery.
I think marxism is also associated with higher levels of intelligence.
《Two large pre-registered studies in the UK (N = 700 & 700) and the British Cohort Study dataset (N = 11,563) replicated the predicted association of intelligence with economic deviance (β = 0.4 to 0.12).》
I checked the CFPS and found that children's parents who were Communists had higher IQs, though that could be due to political interest. Anecdotal evidence suggests that followers of highly complex/unconventional political theories like NRx, libertarianism, and Marxism tend to have higher IQs.
average IQ of HBD bloggers seems to be like ~130-135 anecdotally. the social scientists/normals who get into it tend to be eccentric or competent people.
Selection effect. People who drift away from the GOP are probably more likely to support immigration, and people who are forming their political identities are going to be more influenced by their anti-immigration attitudes, particularly in newer cohorts.
But the other thing if high-IQ people are pro-inmigration what that means? A)they're pro-disgenesia B)They don't care about the negative externalities or C)They ignore it
I don't know if the cultural explanation is much of a barrier against wokeness. If blacks have poor culture because of slavery it's still whitey's fault, and since culture is environmental then pushing them into middle class neighborhoods and institutions should gradually change their culture, no?
The culture explanation may be controversial mostly because it's offensive to minorities rather than any policy implications.
It seems like even in California affirmative action can't win at the ballot box because race-blindness/meritocracy are strongly held values regardless of what the public thinks the causes of racial gaps are.
The cultural explanation works because it acts as a persistent explanation for race differences that explains why they cannot be solved politically that doesn't invoke genes.
According to conservatives perhaps, but they're sceptical of government's ability to solve problems in general, so the cultural explanation may not be causal for their opposition to social engineering.
"The alt-right era youtubers and bloggers (e.g. Moly, alt hype) tried it again and failed. I was online back then, and I thought that their videos were good, especially when compared to the standards that are expected from youtube videos. This wave of race realist were able to broadcast these ideas to a wider audience, but they lost steam after they were censored or banned.
I don't think these failures were due to deficiencies in competence or character, rather the circumstances in all cases were stacked massively against all waves of race realists."
I haven't reviewed the Moly videos so I can't speak on them. The Alt-Hype - @Ryan Faulk was (I guess is) excellent on IQ issues, but his mainstream appeal was always going to be limited by his willingness to touch far far greater taboos. And even then it was being associated with Richard 'we should enslave Haitians' Spencer; and his royal spree of total and pointless fuckups culminating in Charlottesville that did him in and got Alt-right thinkers in general banned off youtube.
Murray, as briefly noted in Cofnas' latest piece; did everything possible to signal the exact opposite of confidence in race realism when he had his time in the spotlight. No one responds to open and flagrant weakness.
So yes, deficiencies in competence and character doomed two attempts at mainstreaming race and IQ; only one of which happened in the viral internet era. This is hardly dispositive.
Cofnas, @Aporia, and Cremieux are making a far more coherent effort than has or arguably could've been done before. Provided they learn from 2017 and keep suicide bombers out, I think they have a decent chance. We'll see if it works, but I'm not entirely pessimistic.
“Yes, the internet will probably change the rate at which beliefs change in a population, but there is no guarantee that the race realism revival is going to happen tomorrow, and it is very unlikely that adoption of race realism will surge enough to “rock the vote” in time to close the borders and deport the illegals.”
I’m a race realist and I don’t want to deport the illegals. Why would I? After all, they compare rather favorably to blacks and their negative effects can be compensated by massively increasing global cognitive elite immigration to the US.
“In this climate, the best we can hope for is to convert as many people as possible to the heredtiarian position behind the scenes, and advance the cultural position in mainstream political spheres.”
Well, Yeah, my own wariness with working-class Muslim and African immigration is their bad apples. Whether their bad apples behave that way due to genes or culture is a secondary concern, though it is sufficiently important if we will actually want to fix this problem long-term. Ditto for US blacks. I’d love to live to see a day when US black neighborhoods are no longer dystopian homicidal dumps, but for us to actually reach Wakanda, we first need to figure out why exactly we’re not in Wakanda right now. The actual reason, not the politically correct hypothesis.
3- Overall, about six-in-ten Asian American registered voters (62%) identify as Democrats or lean to the Democratic Party, and 34% are Republicans or GOP leaners, according to a Pew Research Center survey of Asian adults conducted from July 2022 to January 2023.
Midwit theory (e.g. extremely smart people tend to have certain political beliefs) is not supported by analysis behind the scenes. Didn't find it in my paper, or the analysis I did in this blogpost.
Yeah and Black Americans vote 90%+ for the Democrat party lol. I don't think your explanation is sound at all. Just look the numbers you cite, can you think of a reason why minority groups like Jews and Asians mostly vote for the Democrat party? Probably because they are minorities.
Notice how Episcopalians are significantly less likely to support the Democrat party than Jews and Asians. Probably because they are part of the Majority White population.

Fair enough. I hadn't seen anybody talk about it before I posted the stats.

I convert to race realism and hereditarianism thanks to Alt-Hype but i discover his videos after the alt-right YouTube era by reuploads channels

What about HBD?

Are you black or hispanic?
Half Hispanic. ~80% caucasian, with dark skin, and a caucasian face/build.
An Spaniard here, hispanic is not a race anyway
Wait how Republicans become less intelligent because they become more anti-immigration if IQ is pretty much genetic?

My take (which is not a new one) is that the relationship between intelligence and reasonable political beliefs is marginal.

A response to to these claims.

Edit needed:
“Nathan Cofnas highlights that extremely conservative Whites score 8.5 IQ points lower than extremely conservatives.”
Maybe smart fraction theory can explain something. Democrat Party has significant support among smart groups.
1- Jews are %64 democrat and %26 republican

2- Episcopalians are %49 democrat and %39 republican

Where does the Yarvin alleged 145+ IQ come from; SAT; guess; IQ test?
Personally, I haven't decided on any one explanation for wokeness/leftist victory, though Moldbug was definitely wrong about the Calvinist hypothesis.
The most rational thing to do with a lack of information is to not endorse any hypothesis.
What is BWIG?
