80% of people in the 90th percentile of attractiveness/health/childhood health/mental stability/height/intelligence are more right wing than the average person.
This is pretty central to reality and easy billions views. You should share to youtube, especially if you have extra insights.
All I can tell is that it’s pretty self-evident that right wingers are more attentive to food and athleticism (I mean just look outside), which no doubt associates with all gigachad traits, including attractiveness, general health, mental health, height and intelligence.
Lefties tend to be smarter in general anyway anyway cuz cuthu—I mean, intelligence—swims left at the moment.
Cool dataset, but as someone who deals all day with the tyranny of endogeneity and the distinction between estimating associations and estimating causations when limited to observational data, I cringed a bit when I read:
> Given these traits are not independent, it would be ideal to estimate the causal effect of each variable on political views through a regression model.
I think what you mean is "it would be ideal to estimate their _joint_ (linear) effects," which indeed are likely to differ from the variables' individual standalone linear effects because, as you say, they are not independent. So indeed it's sensible to reach for a multiple regression. But to claim that you are thereby isolating _causal_ effects goes too far unless you have an RCT to analyze or you are using some newfangled causal inference method from the Judea Pearl-iverse like instrumental variables.
You say the giga Chad but as a conservative who believes in IQ, I feel there needs to be some reflection that the average conservative is dumber on average. Also I wonder if you looked at conservatives whites vs liberal whites if the health data would still corellate.
Emil's study was meh, they were measuring wokeness, which they presuposed is connected to mental illness. Not that there aren't worse studies than don't get redacted, but it barely prooved anything to be cited
"The effect of height on political views reduces by 30% when controlling for attractiveness and height" you mean health?
Yes.
I'm thinking about making this into a video. thoughts?

Low intelligence that's not actually true anymore.Liberals are getting dumber. What Conservatives are getting smarter https://x.com/DanlDq07301/status/1929389707315576848
The question is then: Does being healthy make you right wing? Or does being right wing make you healthy?

Do you have a link to something I can use to find my health percentile👀
Hard to measure health holistically.
