Could add a few factions (understandable in most cases as you're a zoomer and most of these are oldfags):
* Richard Spencer and the Eurofash who combine Third Reich imagery with NATO
* Old school WNs, e.g. Jared Taylor
* Quillette should be part of a bigger IDW faction that heavily intersects with Western civilization/Zionist types like Douglas Murray
* Groyper faction should be more clearly delineated
* Obviously the conservapol/MAGA grifter clan but it might be too normie for this map.
> Nick is unstable and is potentially abusive
Nothing potential about it and one need to be in his movement to see it. That community is big on apology rituals - I am very loosely acquainted with one such person who had to figuratively prostrate before Nick on account of the usual banal RW drama.
I have never considered myself RW. I have always considered myself a realist/rationalist - and I don't really care if people disagree with me - I will be happy to discuss the evidence and uncertainties. Physcist / engineering background who did some strategic defense studies on the side ~ 40 years ago, which honed somewhat of a realistic ruthlessness in assessment. I just don't accept a lot of assumptions that the educated culture makes - I don't think they are warranted. I fall roughly in the hereditarian / tech / rationalist space, because that is roughly where I sense reality maximizing. I certainly don't see myself as following people, but going for the underlying reality. Even Edie de Boer accepts the hereditarian argument for educational talent, and he is a marxist.
"Right wingers tend to build spheres around individuals, while left wingers tend to build spheres around ideas." - This is basically true but I don't think it explains the level to which right-wing twitter (our chunk of it, anyway) is a personalities game. I think it's largely a matter of the limited human capital we have to work with. Were you to cut left wing twitter down to a similar number of people; you'd probably get a similar result as specific advocates quickly become the face of ideas.
Other potential nodes that are not necessarily RWers, but who seem to interact with all these other accounts a lot are Coddled Affluent Professional and Swann Marcus. Perhaps they would be connected with the Mainstream group.
Steven Pinker is not RW. He has written on based book but not too based (he removed the chapter on race) and has been living of this reputation ever since while being a coward. I saw him in person do a talk in 2017 for his book the Better Angels. He explained that the number of deaths in the world in armed conflicts had been going down tremendously but there had been a small increase recently. He then explained that the main reasons were Putin and Assad (and now Trump). I completely lost respect for the guy.
Reasonable choice, as Pinker's Better Angels was a big part of the gateway drug that started it all for me, and no doubt many others. I believed in gender feminism and anarcho-communism once; then I studied EP.
Fuentes and Tate-sphere are onboarding normies by the hundreds of thousands. Specifically young men, cannon fodder for the culture wars and the impending real one. Remember quantity has a quality all its own and be careful to not sneer at everyman-style populism… they’re probably the ones who will fight the hardest when the time comes
My only critique is that REN is strongly affiliated with morgoths and sargon ( mostly cause there both brits) jargon has had him as a guest contributor on lotus eaters since the doxxing
You already have plenty of comments so I'll refrain from belabouring points.
1) You mention that this is a social map, not ideological. Even still, I question the inclusion of all the right-adjacent groups. Manosphere, Tatesphere, rationalists, and Quilette look very out of place with the actual rightisy groups. If anything, some of them can be second-order peripheries e.g. Fleischman stemming from Aporia; or Tates stemming from Sneako, who stems from Fuentes
2) Euro-nationalists and alt-right 1.0 (namely Spencer) are entirely missing
3) There should be more overlaps. I think you try to show this with group proximity and you do elaborate with the descriptions but there can be more direct connections e.g. Nicksphere should mostly connect to ((())); RWBB should be completely subsumed into BAPsphere; Hanania, Unz, KMac should connect with HBDsphere; as you mentioned, there should be connections between Tech Right, HBDsphere, NRx
4) If you're going to do this you should try to be more impartial otherwise it just looks like your opinion is shaped by e-drama/ideological bias. It shouldn't be obvious to an outsider which of these groups you side with if they were to read this
1. Part of the reason why I put the IDW/Quilette/Tatesphere people on the peripheries is to show how distant they are from what I call the "central blob" of right wing twitter.
2. I added some of the ethnonationalists, but besides the core publications (e.g. vdare, counter currents), I don't know who to put down. On a side note, making an "HBD" or "Ethnonationalist" sphere itself is a little awkward because 80% of the people on this graph are friendly to both ideas. Because of this, I only connected people who specialize in HBD/ethnonationalism to their respective spheres.
3. Overlap is graphed through spatial assocations within and between groups.
4. The only clearly biased inclusion I made was sectioning off all the JQers into one bubble, which was partially a joke.
I think this is certainly true on the nature of overlap of a hypothetical Venn diagram with HBD types with some of the group. For example, the idea that the Fuentes group, who I think own the title of groypers agrees with the hbd types only as an accident (as in St. Thomas Aquinas sense) rather than any sort of shared framework. Generally, I do not agree with either group, but there is a difference between someone that posits a boring, staid sort of interpretation of stats and the irrational exuberance of a bunch of discontented castizos shouting "You are Jewish!" at anything that does not strike their fancy.
You can scrape Twitter links to build an empirical map instead of assuming one.
Great effort, little to critique here. (Though I now reject the RW ideology and identify as a queer Woke freak).
You might be interested in comparing it to this map of Neo-Reaction from a decade ago now: https://akarlin.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/map-dark-enlightenment.png

MedGold & YockeySlut not on the map? Disappointed

I intentionally added people who are not right wing but are "right wing adjacent" because this is a social network, not an ideology network.

Some of us aren’t in any of those spheres and are critical of all of them for various reasons.

Where's Kulak?
Nicksphere is much closer to Tatesphere/manosphere than the BAPsphere.
With Fascism you mean Mussolini-like, Hitler-like, hyperbolic expression for anti-wokeness or what?
The Tateshpere is the normie section of the redpill, I'm part of the HBDsphere

You didn’t include Nemets who I think was on Salo forums but would be difficult to categorize.
