Ironically, the high position of the UK (and Ireland) despite otherwise being quite "Woke" is probably by dint of English language access to HBD blogs/media.

Europoors only have access to old translated mainstream stuff like Gould.

Nah, don't think so. Parts of non-Anglo Europe are nevertheless very attuned to the Anglosphere. Actually, with the exception of the former Eastern Block, the best English-speakers also seem to be the most woke (see eg Nordics + Netherlands) — these language areas are also distinctively both rich and small, which might have something to do with wokeness and English skills (respectively in particular, I guess).

As for Eastern Europe, as far as I can tell, the younger generations in many (typically smaller) countries speak good English and are very cognizant of cultural currents in America. The fact that they haven't embraced wokeness to a similar extent — rather quite the opposite — is not that surprising either (history, you know, and some partly related social, economic and cultural factors, too...).

Belgium is also an exception among Northwestern European countries. The sample size also probably has a selection bias for willingness to entertain/answer such taboo questions. Also the phrasing of "less intelligent" would be more taboo than "more hardworking".

Excellent post. I suggest you put a little more effort into the plots. E.g.:

1. Better color scheme, red = negative, blue = positive. Shades of blue are hard to tell apart where the 0 exactly is.

2. Plot the correlations on the country's centroid (there's R functions that compute the centroid location).

3. Should try a multi-level regression model. Hereditarianism ~ rcs(age) + sex + country + survey_year. Some more models with additional covariates that one could questions, e.g. education.

Portugal continues being a spiritual leader of Eastern Europe.
